WNPF annually requests a list of prioritized projects with associated costs from the three superintendents; the projects fall within four categories: science and research, visitors experiences, volunteerism and stewardship, and youth and families. Throughout the year we raise funds via a variety of means and deliver those funds to each at the end of the fiscal year. If a donor wishes to support a specific project in the , and the is ready to receive funding for that project, we cut a check immediately and the is able to start the project immediately.

Our four main focus areas include: child welfare, juvenile court, immigrant families, homelessness. LCYC was created, has continued to evolve, in response to community needs service gaps, increasing literacy expanding access to justice young people in Washington. We provide -centered, community-based, holistic advocacy to hundreds of annually. Most are between 12 -24 years in age. Due to racism oppression, of color LGBTQ+ are overrepresented within the systems that LCYC works among the represented by LCYC. We apply lessons learned from young people, community partners, direct services to inform our systemic advocacy work.
